I have been away from here for over a month. During this time I have been thinking about ‘Male eXperience’, its direction and its future. Can I focus the site more accurately, to gain more depth and to help you in a more identifiable way. What is ‘Male eXperience’ for? Who is its target audience? What is the issue that causes the greatest pain?
The Clash’s famous song is a cry heard from many men, “Should I Stay or Should I Go?”. They don’t understand their woman. They are confused because she won’t make her mind up. But she is a woman, she needs certainty from the man, not the other way round. What does he want? Will he be there no matter what?
There are three men Tom, Dick and Harry. Tom found women lost interest in him. Dick found his relationships crashing and burning. Harry had a secure long-term relationship and found women constantly interested in him. All three men had the same advantages in terms of looks and wealth so what’s the difference? It’s in how they react to female testing.
Cheta has written on Trust and Surrender in Female eXperience, about an experiment where she wanted to fully experience the two feminine characteristics of Trusting and Surrendering. Here I want to look at what it meant for me to fully experience trust and surrender from a woman.
Seeing this photo of me with a jeep set me thinking. I am in a rugged setting, I look at home, I feel at home. I feel in my element. Does this make me a “Guy”? Does this give me masculinity? Is this what a woman is looking for?
I have been reading around the web on what is out there for men, what advice are they being given, where are they being directed. I can tell you there is not much. I did come across a fascinating set of four rules for masculinity.
